August 31, 2016—Springerville, AZ… Gary Kiehne released the following comments about the primary election results in Arizona’s First Congressional District.
“It is with deep gratitude that I thank the nearly 12,000 voters who cast a ballot for our candidacy in yesterday’s Republican Primary.
“I would also like to personally thank my wife Julie, my children, and the hundreds of local activists and leaders who endorsed our candidacy. Your support was invaluable, and I am grateful for your willingness to endorse our campaign that was always based on being an ‘outsider’ with a message focused on enacting true change for our district.
“I was born in the White Mountains in beautiful Apache County, and today and going forward I will continue to be endlessly proud to call this district and rural Arizona my home.
“Indeed, it is my sincere hope that we will soon see changes in Arizona’s First Congressional District that will improve the lives of our hardworking families and citizens. That starts by securing the border, restoring jobs and economic prosperity, and getting the federal government out of the way by cutting regulations that are killing opportunity and have halted growth.
“I again thank all of those who joined us on ‘Team Kiehne.’ It has been a tremendous experience to make so many new friends and contacts across our vast district, and I look forward to visiting with all of you again soon.”
