August 16, 2016…Today the Kiehne for Congress campaign was honored to announce Kiehne has been endorsed by the St. Michaels Chapter House on the Navajo Nation in Arizona’s First Congressional District.
The St. Michaels Chapter House is recognized as a voice for the people of the St. Michaels area to the Navajo Nation government and is known for its leadership among many Navajo Nation Chapters. The St. Michaels Chapter House voted unanimously in a resolution to endorse Kiehne.
“I am deeply honored to have received the endorsement of the St. Michaels Chapter House,” said Kiehne. “I have enjoyed a strong relationship with Arizona’s Navajo community for decades, and am very appreciative to have the support of the St. Michaels Chapter House. I have great memories of growing up roping on the reservation, and even won the calf roping competition in the 1980 Window Rock 4thof July celebration. It is critical that our next Representative in Congress build relationships with every single community that makes up our vast and diverse district, and I look forward to representing our shared values as your next Congressman.”
In November, Gary was named to the first round of “On the Radar” candidates by the National Republican Congressional Committee, a national display of momentum for his candidacy. Kiehne has been endorsed by dozens of local leaders and influencers in Arizona’s First Congressional District, along with several local organizations, publications and Arizona’s Speaker of the House David Gowan.
Born in Springerville, Apache County, Gary Kiehne is an Arizona cattleman and small business owner. He owns three hotels in Arizona’s 1st Congressional District and works in the oil and gas industry.
